These are stories I wrote, mostly about anime/manga. It took me a long time to write them, so I hope you like them!
Did you like teh story?
Temari woke up one morning in Suna, only to find that her boyfriend of a little more than 3 years was standing at the foot of her bed, as if he was waiting for her to wake up. His name was Shikamaru, and he had come with an obvious reason. He was blushing, and he had combed his hair back, instead of its usual style: up in a loose ponytail. He had his nice shirt on, and he was staring at the floor, scuffling his feet nervously. Temari sat up straight, and gasped at the sight of him. “Shika? Why are you all… nice looking?” she reached over and petted her gray and white cat next to her on the bed. The cat purred with delight. Tema got onto her knees in the bed, and walked over to Shikamaru, who blushed even more. He stepped over closer, and grabbed Temari’s arm loosely. “I-I wanted to ask you this, for a really long time.” He got onto the floor and took a small box out of his coat pocket. He opened the box, and pulled out a small case of some sort. He then opened the case, and turned it around, getting on one knee. “Temari. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” He wiped his brow on his coat sleeve. He was obviously sweating from nervousness. Temari gasped and her hands rushed to her mouth, and her eyes started to water. She turned her head slightly and wiped her tears. “Shikamaru Nara. I’ve dreamed of this day for more than 3 years. I love you so much. Yes. I’ll marry you.” She reached forward and hugged Shikamaru tightly. He hugged back just as hard. When they pulled away, Temari’s eyes were filled with tears, and she was smiling. They hugged once more, but this time, Temari ruffled Shikamaru's hair, and it returned to its usual style. “I like your hair much better like this,” Temari said. Shikamaru blushed again, and gently brushed the hair out of his eyes. Tema’s eyes lit up. “I know! Let’s go tell Kankuro and Gaara!” she gushed. Nodding, Shikamaru let go of Temari and held her hand as they walked into the kitchen. There they found Gaara running around, and Kankuro sitting on the counter laughing his head off. Apparently, Kank had given Gaara a bag of sugar, and Gaara was as hyper as he could be; bouncing off the walls, literally. He yelled something about maple syrup. Temari rushed forward with her hands on her hips. “KANKURO! What do you think you’re doing? You know sugar makes Gaara overly hyper! God! I can’t believe you forgot!” she steamed. Shikamaru was laughing with Kankuro, when his face suddenly turned to shock. “TEMARI!” He screamed, pointing to Gaara, who was sprawled out on the floor, his leg at an odd angle. “Oh, God,” Tema breathed, running over to her little brother. When she got there, Gaara’s mouth was moving, as if he was trying to talk, but no sound was coming out. He finally managed to say something that sounded like, “Knnnakro…” Temari looked confused. “What? Kankuro? What does that mean, Gaara?” she asked, confused.   When she thought about it for a moment, she figured that it must mean ‘Kankuro.’ She stood up and brought Kankuro to Gaara’s side. “Is he going to be okay?” Shikamaru asked, his face pale. Temari shook her head. “I don’t know…” she muttered, looking at her youngest brother. “Kankuro. Call Tsunade. Gaara needs a cast put on this leg as soon as possible. And hurry!” she commanded, tears now tricking out of the corners of her eyes. Kankuro nodded, standing up and going over to the phone. Shikamaru bent down to hug Temari, who was now crying more. She hugged back.   Kankuro had gotten a hold of the 5th Hokage. “Hello, Tsunade? This is Kankuro. Yes. Yeah, it’s Gaara again… This time it’s his leg. It looks pretty beat up. Yes. He needs a cast. Well, at least Temari thinks so… Mhmm. Can you come down here as soon as possible? Right. Thanks.” He hung up the phone. He groaned when he turned to his sister, who was kissing and hugging Shikamaru. “Ugh! Get a freakin’ room, will ya?” he scolded, disgusted with his sister’s behavior while their brother suffered in silence. Temari laughed slightly, despite the circumstances. “What did Tsunade say?” she asked her brother, still hugging Shikamaru. Kankuro, being as stubborn as always, shrugged. “I’m not going to tell you unless you stop hugging him,” he scowled. Shikamaru and Temari, anxious to hear what the Hokage had said, stopped hugging, and turned to Kankuro. “Okay, tell us,” Shikamaru said, frowning. Kankuro began pacing around the room. “She said that she’d get here as soon as she could, and that she’d bring Shizune with her for help. Judging by the look of his leg, he’ll need a cast…” he turned to Temari. “Tem, I’m sorry. This is all my fault. I was the one who gave him sugar, even though you’ve told me not to. I’m sorry,” he said, bowing to his sister. Shocked, Temari stood up. “Kankuro, it’s not your fault,” she said, embracing her brother. “It’s not anyone’s fault. If I was to blame someone, I would blame the sugar, okay? It’s not your fault.” She said, kissing his head. Kankuro backed away. “EW! Don’t EVER do that again! ‘Specially after you were kissing him!” he pointed to Shikamaru. Temari laughed, walking over to Gaara to check his vital signs. Shikamaru scuffled his feet, looking at the floor, trying to avoid Kankuro’s gaze. “Oh, this is such a waste of my time… especially when   I just made the change of my life…” he mumbled to himself. Unfortunately, Kankuro had heard. He walked up to Shikamaru. “Change of your life…?” he asked, his face twisted into confusion. Shikamaru’s face turned red. “U-umm…” he stuttered, turning to Temari for help. When she nodded, Shikamaru walked over to her, bending down by her side. Temari looked at her brother. “Kankuro, Shikamaru and I are getting married!” she blurted, hugging her fiancé.Kankuro’s eyes went wide. “T-Temari….. I-I…” he swallowed. “Can I talk to you in the kitchen for a moment? Privately?” he asked, taking her hand and pulling her into the next room. Shikamaru sighed, looking at his soon to be brother-in-law. He jumped when he heard yelling. “ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!” Kankuro yelled. “You’re marrying him? Out of all people? God! Are you insane or something?” Temari got angry. “You know what? It’s not your choice of who I marry! I love him, and nothing will ever change that! Ugh! You’re such an idiot! Just grow up, will you?” she yelled back, storming out of the kitchen crying. She ran to her room. Shikamaru sighed, standing up and going over to her door, knocking on it. “Tem? It’s me. Open up.” He whispered, turning on the handle. The lock clicked, and the door opened slowly. Temari was sitting on the end of her bed in a fetal position, crying, her chin rested on her knees.

Pshaaaaaw. I'm too lazy to write more >_> But I will eventually.
Gaara and his siblings were sitting in their hot house, not doing anything. It was the summertime, and everybody was sweltering. You would think that them, being from the desert, would be used to heat. This weather was unbearable. The temperature was 105˚, and it had been 107˚ the day before. Kankuro was trying to figure out why one of Karasu’s arms wouldn’t move when a chakra string was attached to it. Temari was sitting on the couch reading, and Gaara was just sitting there, staring off into the distance. Temari glanced over at Gaara. Flipping the pages of her book, she wondered what he was looking at. Gaara sighed and slumped back. Temari put her book down.

“Gaara? Are you okay?” she asked. Her little brother shook his head as if to say no, and closed his eyes.

“I think the heat is getting to me,” he said faintly. “And my head hurts. Damn Shukaku......” Temari was fully alert now. She looked over at Kankuro as if to tell him something was wrong. She moved closer to her brother.

”Do you need me to get you anything Gaara?” she wondered. Gaara shook his head again, and turned on his side.

“I just wish I could sleep one of these days...” he sighed. Temari closed her eyes and bent over to kiss Gaara.

“One day, Gaara. One day you will.” She stood up and went over to Kankuro.

“Whatcha doin?” she questioned. Kankuro looked up for a brief moment. Then returned to his work.

“I’m trying to figure out why the chakra string won’t work on this arm,” he beckoned to the left bottom arm. Temari squinted and picked up the arm, seeming to know what she was doing. She grabbed the pliers and snipped off a piece of cloth. Kankuro looked furious. He was about to explode at his sister, when he realized his chakra string on the top left arm was separating to the bottom left arm! He smiled a little and thanked his sister. Temari nodded, and went back to the couch to read. She was just about to flip open her book when she heard Gaara groan. She put it down and looked at him.

“Are you sure you’re okay Gaara?” she worried. Gaara shook his head and coughed.

“Can you get me a glass of water Tema?” he asked between coughs. Temari nodded and got up to go get him water. She returned a few minutes later with an icy cold glass of water, and handed it to Gaara. Gaara sat up a little and took the glass in his hand, taking a small sip. He kept sipping it until it was half gone. Gaara was about to take another drink, when he felt a sharp pain in his head. Dropping the glass and spilling the water, he clutched his head and screamed.

“GET...OUT...OF...MY...HEAD!!!!!!!!!!” Temari and Kankuro jumped and stared at their brother, wondering if Shukaku was trying to take possession. They got up quickly and tried to restrain their brother. Temari tried to calm down her brother.

“Gaara! It’s okay! Nothing’s there!” she said frantically. Gaara screamed and swiped at his sister, grazing her arm with his fingers. At first, Temari didn’t know if he was trying to hurt her, or if he was just out of control. She gasped as a trickle of blood flowed from her scrape. Temari frowned and turned back to Gaara. She put her arms around him. Gaara was tense, but he tried to accept the hug. Kankuro walked over and put his hand on Gaara’s head. Again, Gaara was tense, but he accepted it. Turning away, Kankuro said,
“Gaara. If you feel you’re going to be completely possessed, just even a little, let me or Temari know, and we’ll go get Hokage-sama. All right?” Gaara nodded gently and closed his eyes. The two older siblings looked at their poor helpless brother, wondering what they should do. Kankuro stood up and looked at his sister.
“I’m going to go get Tsunade-sama, just in case Gaara needs her and...” he cut off mid sentence. Temari nodded understandingly and beckoned for him to go. Kankuro smiled and put his hands together, disappearing with a puff of smoke.

It was late in the afternoon and Tsunade was working in her office. She had just recently been informed of an A-rank mission that she needed to organize. Normally she wasn’t the one who put missions together, but the Hokage felt bad for the man who put them together all the time. Tsunade sighed and looked at her papers, extremely confused. Suddenly there was a ‘boom’ and a poof of smoke. Tsunade bolted out of her chair and onto her feet.

“Hello, Hokage-sama” said Kankuro, bowing. Tsunade was still shaken from the surprise, but decided she should do something.

“Uhh... Kankuro, right? What is it?” she said, bowing slightly as well. Kankuro nodded and began to tell her about Gaara. Tsunade sat there, listening intently.

“So, will you please help him?” Kankuro pleaded. After a few moments of silence, Tsunade nodded and smiled.

”I will. Where is he?”

“He’s back at the house with Temari,” replied Kankuro. “Follow me.” The two ninjas put their hands together and disappeared.

Gaara was breathing heavily, cringing with every painful breath. Temari was rubbing his hair, her face expressionless. She had no idea why Shukaku was trying to posess Gaara in this state; sick and with absolutely no chakra for him to feed off of. You see, when it got as hot as it had been the past few days, Gaara couldn’t focus that well, and that usually led to sickness. At least one third of all of Gaara’s chakra always went to Shukaku. That’s what he fed off of. So when Gaara wasn’t focused, not being able to use up his chakra, it would build up and build up, leading to most of it being wasted on Shukaku. Temari sighed out of exhaustion and slouched down on the couch. She wondered where Kankuro was with Hokage-sama. It had been at least a half hour since he had left, and Temari was starting to get really worried. Seconds later, Kankuro and Tsunade appeared in the living room.

“Oh, good. You’re here,” Temari gushed. She bowed to the Hokage, who bowed in return. Kankuro closed his eyes and walked over to his brother. Gaara was lying on the couch, grimacing in pain.

“Kankuro....” he breathed. “Is that Hokage-sama?” Kankuro smiled.

“Yes, Gaara. She’s here. Can you tell me what hurts?”
Gaara turned and grimaced, pointing to his head. “I think it’s Shukaku....” he sighed.
Tsunade walked over to Gaara and his brother.

”Gaara. Do you remember me?” she asked. Gaara nodded in return, closing his eyes. Temari gasped.

”Gaara! Don’t fall asleep! Stay awake!” she yelled. Tsunade looked at Gaara. His eyelids fluttered, but didn’t open.
“Kankuro-san, will you please get me my bag?” asked Tsunade politely. Kankuro nodded and reached for her bag. Tsunade opened it and took out a small bottle of liquid. She sighed, and put her hand on Gaara’s head, as if she was reading his mind. Frowning, she opened the bottle and tipped a little in Gaara’s mouth. Gaara felt something touch his lips, and coughed. Hokage-sama smiled gently and turned to Kankuro and Temari, who were clutching each other. Temari had small streams of tears down her face.

“Is Gaara okay?” she asked worriedly. She sniffled. Kankuro hugged her. Tsunade walked over to the siblings.

“Temari, Kankuro, Gaara is unconscious.” Tsunade sighed. Kankuro gasped.

“Wait. Won’t that mean.....Shukaku....?” he stammered.

“Kankuro, it’s fine. The medicine I gave him will hold Shukaku off for about 6 hours. He should wake up before then.” Tsunade tried calming Temari down. She was now sobbing. In all her years of going through this, Tsunade had never seen someone react this way. She figured she must care for her little brother more than anything in the world. When Temari had finally gotten ahold of herself, she walked over to Gaara. She perched herself on the edge of the couch. And then, she just snapped. She burst into tears, wailing over her brother. Kankuro, trying to act calm in front of his sister, rushed over to her and led her to her room. He returned about 5 minutes later to see Tsunade sitting over Gaara. Kankuro sighed gently.
“Hokage-sama? Is he really going to be okay?” he wondered. Tsunade closed her eyes and smiled. She turned her head over to the puppeteer. Carefully, as not to disturb Gaara, she got up and walked over to Kankuro. Kankuro tried to blink back tears, but they came anyway. Tsunade opened her arms and embraced him. He hugged back hard, closing his eyes tightly, tears flowing down his face.

“Kankuro. I didn’t want to say this in front of Temari, seeing how she was reacting. But, I feel I can say it in front of you. I’m apologizing in advance. I admire your love for your brother. I really do.” she sighed. “Let’s sit down, ok?” The two ninjas sat down on the floor. Tsunade looked at Kankuro and held his hands in hers lightly. Kankuro’s heart was racing. It knew some bad news was coming. Blinking, tears streamed down his face.

“You’ve probably realized this already, but I do have some bad news,” Tsunade said, as if reading Kankuro’s thoughts and feelings. She sighed before continuing. “You know how I said Gaara was unconscious? Well, when he fell asleep, Shukaku-” she paused, as Kankuro had gasped. “Shukaku fed quickly. In the five minutes between when he went unconscious and when I gave him the medicine, Shukaku took away his entire memory. Not how to read or write or things like that. Just the jutsus and chakra control. He might not be able to learn all of it again, but he will be able to learn most of it. That is, if you teach him the jutsus. Would you like me to go tell your sister?” she finished. Kankuro was white as a ghost by then, looking very sick

“I-i, uhh...” stammered Kankuro.

“I’ll go tell her, okay?”chose the Hokage. She stood up and walked over to Temari’s room. She knocked on the door, followed by “Come in.” from Temari. Tsunade opened the door and walked over to the bed.

“Temari, I have some bad news. When I said Gaara was unconscious, I gave him medicine. He had been unconscious for about 5 minutes between the time he conked out and when I gave him medicine. Apparently, Shukaku fed quickly, draining Gaara of his memories. He still knows how to do basic things, like reading and writing, but doesn’t know any jutsus or stuff like that. It’s up to you and Kankuro to teach him those things. I know you can do it. I will be here all the way if you need any help at all.” Temari gasped,   looking awful. Tsunade cocked her head at Temari.

“Are you okay?” she asked worriedly. Temari burst into tears, covering her head with her arm. She had a little tantrum taht lasted for about 5 minutes.

Later, Temari was in bed, resting. Tsunade was frantic.

“Temari. You okay?” she offered. Temari replied by nodded her head.

“Yeah. It just came as a huge surprise to me. I’m sorry I’ve been so much trouble.” Tsunade shook her head in return.

“No, dear. It’s fine. I don’t mind. Actually, Kankuro almost reacted in the same way you did!” she chuckled. Temari groaned, and turned on her side.

“I’m sorry, but I’m not in the mood to be humored,” she explained. Tsunade laughed at hearing this, which startled Temari. She wasn’t expecting to be laughed at. Temari closed her eyes and tried to ignore the pain in her heart. She was really starting to wonder if Gaara would ever wake up. Tsunade was talking to Temari about something, but Temari couldn’t function it through her head. Hokage-sama was about to tell Temari something about the medicine, when Kankuro burst into the bedroom, his kitty hat almost fallen off his head and his hair all messed up. Tsunade immediately stood up, looking at Kankuro.

“Tsunade-sama...........There’s something wrong...........with........” then Kankuro fainted. Temari sat up.

“Kankuro?” Temari called. When she got no answer, she stood up. Tsunade rushed over to Kankuro, checking for his pulse. When she found it, she nodded. Looking over to Temari, she said

“Temari. Kankuro fainted. We need to carry him to your bed. I don’t know if you can do it in your condition, but if you could try, that would be great.” She lifted him up. Temari shook her head and threw back the covers, putting the pillow back on the bed. It had fallen when she stood up. When Kankuro was in the bed, Tsunade tried to remember what he had said before he fainted. She decided to go check on Gaara.

“Temari you stay here with Kankuro. I’m going to go check on Gaara, okay?” Temari nodded in reply. Tsunade ran out of the room into the living room. She rushed over to the couch and felt for a pulse on Gaara. Frowning, she checked again.

“Oh, God...” she breathed. She put her ear on Gaara’s chest and listened for a heartbeat. When she couldn’t find one, she realized the awful truth. Gaara was dead.

Crying, she walked back to Temari’s room, where she found Temari sitting on the corner of the bed, waiting her return. When Hokage-sama opened the door, and Temari saw her face, she started crying too.

“Hokage-sama? What’s wrong? Are you okay? Is Gaara okay?” she asked. Tsunade shook her head.

“Temari. Gaara is dead.” she said between sobs. Temari’s eyes went wide. She slapped the Hokage.

‘HOW DARE YOU TELL ME THAT! HE’S NOT DEAD! HE’S UNCONSCIOUS AND HE’S GONNA WAKE UP AND ME AND KANKURO ARE GONNA TEACH HIM JUTSUS!!” she exploded. Immediately after she had said that, she burst into tears. She reached her arms out and hugged the Hokage.

After about 5 minutes of sobbing and hugging, Temari quietly asked if she could go see Gaara. Tsunade nodded gently, and they walked into the living room together. Temari completely lost it when she saw Gaara, and ran over to him sobbing. She sat on the floor next to the couch, taking her brother's hand in hers. All of a sudden, her eyes widened. Gaara's hand twitched!

"Tsunade!" Temari called. "I think Gaara's hand just moved!" Tsunade immediately came rushing over, and bent down to examine Gaara. She lifed his eyelid open, and his eye wiggled. She gasped. Temari had already run into her room to see if Kankuro was conscious yet. When she found that he was, she told him,

"Kank! I think Gaara's alive! I just saw his hand twitch and Tsunade's examining him right now! Come on!" She pulled an extremely surprised Kankuro out of her bed, and they ran into the living room. Tsunade had propped Gaara up into a sitting position, and he looked as if he were starting to wake up. Temari clapped her hands over her mouth, and Kankuro ran over to his brother.

"Gaara? Are you okay?" he said softly. Almost instantly, Gaara's eyes snapped open, and he fell into a hug with Kankuro. Tsunade was standing over the two of them with tears streaming down her face. She walked over to help Temari, who had fallen over onto the floor, probably out of joy.

"Oh, god. He's okay....." Temari breathed, joy in her voice. Tsunade smiled, and helped Temari to her feet. Kankuro was sobbing over Gaara's shoulder, while his brother's face remained expressionless.
